We’re so excited to welcome you to Baška today! There are a couple of programme changes and additions to share for tomorrow.
Check the Wednesday schedule below for all the details.
Morning Swims
We’ve added group dips on Baška beach at 7:00 & 8:00 for anyone who wants to start the day with a swim together.
Wednesday’s Canyon Runs & Hikes
All the original canyon run and hike experiences are going ahead as planned. However, due to the high winds forecast we can’t set up the party on Jablanova beach - activities will take place there instead. Please note, these are technical routes and some clambering (four points of contact with the ground) is required to get down the canyon. The route will finish back in town at a brand new open-air party location!
New Mindful Miles 7KM Hike Experience - 09:30 - 12:30
On Wednesday we’ve also added an additional slightly shorter hike through a beautiful forest location, with a slower, more mindful pace - we’ll take you to the party at the end of this one too. Created for those looking for a gentle non-technical route as an alternative to the canyon.
You can hire a kayak or SUP through Love Trails Croatia via our website - Booking Link Here.
You’ll pick up and return your SUP or kayak hire from Uvala Bunculuka, which is a 30mins walk from Sunny Baška hotel.
A midweek and weekend special meal experience that blends movement, a locally-sourced grill menu, and magical coastal vibes into one unforgettable adventure. Choose from two different departures—or double up if you’re feeling hungry. What’s Included:
- A seat at the shared banquet table
- Guided run to the coastal venue
- Return boat trip (including a beach party stop on Wednesday!)
- Your food is not included in the price. Menu items range from £15 and up
- Menu: A variety of traditional Croatian meat dishes off the grill.

WEDNESDAY TRAIL ADVISORY
The weather forecast for tomorrow is windy, with the potential for a spot of rain. Please pack accordingly. Four of tomorrow’s routes go through the Vrženica Canyon. Wet rock might be slippery. Please be careful as you move through this technical terrain. Vrženica Canyon features five steep sections which require light scrambling and four points of contact with the ground.
For a more gentle trail experience, we have added a forest hike, Mindful Miles (7km), exploring a beautiful trail above Baška. If you don’t feel confident attempting the canyon, please consider joining this alternative hike experience. See details below for more information.

FRIDAY
Timed Out™ Immersive Race Experience
Take on the most challenging trail of the week— An all-new race format featuring a technical 18km mountain run or hike with 800m of elevation, offering stunning views and rugged terrain.
An introduction to Timed Out™
This is an original event concept. The format is designed to feel like a mash-up of competitive stage racing and Love Trails Festival. Race the legs, and then pause for an extended period at the immersive ‘aid-stations’, set out more like pop-up festival experiences along the route.
But here’s the twist: along the way, you’ll pause at three immersive experience ‘aid-stations', designed to help you immerse yourself in nature, dance at pop-up parties, connect and refuel before hopping into your next leg, which can be as fast and furious as you like. Aid-stations become Love Trails festival outposts, where you ’time out’ - the stop clocks on your time, so you can spend as much time as like before you ’time back in’ and continue the race.
In the evening, celebrate your achievement with a high-energy music program, late-night performances, and after-parties.
Info Point - Reception Area Sunny Baska Hotel
Come and ask us anything. We'll be on hand between 07:00 - 11:00 or 17:00 - 21:00. Late race registration open 07:00 - 09:55.

What to pack for 5 days of trails, music, wellbeing & adventure.
Temperatures are expected to be warm, between 16-22°C in the day, but we can expect cooler evenings at around 12-16°. We are expecting a spot of rain so don’t forget to bring a rain jacket or two and warm layers for the evening.
With so much going on in the programme it’s important to pack for all eventualities, from trail running and hiking, to lounging on the beach, and golden-hour drinks to dancing late into the night.
Here’s what we recommend you bring along to make the most of your time at Love Trails Croatia.
For Running & Hiking
This running and hiking section is a mandatory kit list which should be used as a guide if you are taking part in any hiking & running activities at Love Trails Croatia, including the Timed Out race experience. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to wear or carry the items with them at all times from start to finish, taking into account any weather at the time.
Trail running shoes* – must have suitable tread. The trails can often be technical with rough limestone, so we’d recommend something with a bit of cushion and suitable tread (Top tip: If the weather is looking like it’ll rain, pack two pairs of trail shoes so you never have to put a wet pair on at the start of the day)
Suitable running race vest or pack
Waterproof jacket with taped seams (you’ll have to have this on your person depending on the weather forecast)
Mobile Phone (fully charged)
A water reservoir/bottle/flask (we'd suggest a minimum capacity of around 1 litre)
A reusable cup/mug. There will be no cups offered at the aid stations
First aid kit with a minimum of: wound bandage, 4x adhesive plasters, 4x safety pins, antiseptic wipes/cream, and any personal medication you require*
Nutrition/Food for the duration of the time you’ll be out for
Suncream, or extra layers depending on the forecast
Head torch in case you’re caught out on the trails after dark (sunset is 18:40) with spare batteries to see you through the week
*We recommend bringing either two pairs of trail running shoes, or a spare pair if hiking boots, if you're going to be mostly hiking.
For a Good Night's Sleep
If you’ve booked a camping spot, you’ll need to bring all the usual camping gear (tent, roll matt, sleeping bag, and camping essentials.) If you’re in a hotel or a tiny home/holiday cabin - they have you covered!
But a few extras will help you sleep.
Earplugs for a quieter night
Eye mask
A good book or journal for downtime
Travel adaptor & chargers for all your digital devices
Reusable water bottle - drinking water from the tap is okay in Baška
After Dark
After the sun sets just after 18:30, the evenings will get a little cooler, with temperatures around 14-18°, so pack layers to keep warm and comfortable into the night.
Evening fits and layers you can throw on
Swimwear you can take from day to night (for those spontaneous dips!)
A jumper, down jacket or wrap (evenings by the sea can get breezy)
Small backpack or tote bag for packing evening essentials
For Daytime Adventures Off the Trails…
Casual holiday clothes (shorts, light shirts, and jumpers for the evening)
Comfortable sandals or trainers
Something a bit smarter for group dinners (optional, but nice!)
A sun hat for lazy beach days
Reusable shopping bag (for snacks or market finds)
Practical Items Worth Bringing
Portable battery pack for your phone
Debit/credit card AND cash (euros.) Most places around Baška take card, but plenty only take cash, so please come prepared. There is an ATM in Baška.
Keep-cup or reusable coffee mug
Yoga mat or towel for morning yoga sessions
Travel insurance
And don’t forget your toothbrush!

Everything You Need to Know - from getting to Baška and where you’ll sleep, to hitting the trails and what to pack for a 5-day adventure in Croatia. Click below for our full FAQ list.
Baška on Krk Island is a beautiful coastal town and also one of the most popular holiday destinations in Croatia. Situated in the picturesque bay of the Baška Valley and surrounded by an imposing mountain backdrop on two sides, this town is pretty much an adventure paradise. Once a small fishing village, today the town is known for its numerous beaches and hiking trails. Baška is also famous for Vela Plaza, its 2-kilometer-long pebble beach, which is ideal for swimming. Another highlight is the charming old town with its colourful town houses right by the sea, full of great independent restaurants and cozy cafés.
Burek in Croatia is a popular Eastern European street food consisting of a flaky, savory, or sometimes sweet pastry made from thin layers of phyllo-like dough filled with ingredients like minced meat and onions, cheese, or spinach and potatoes. Though believed to have originated in Central Asia and adopted by the Ottoman Turks, it became an iconic and widely popular dish in Croatia. It is often served with a plain yogurt drink and is considered a beloved comfort food.
The terrain around Baška is pretty diverse, featuring rocky paths, forest trails, and routes that hug the rocky coastline. You should be prepared for varying elevations and technical sections in between the aid stations. Whilst some of the trails are compact and runnable, the area includes long sections of technical paths, with steep ascents and descents, and at times will involve a lot of hiking.
Timed Out™ - 18km - 800m elevation
What's the terrain like?
The terrain around Baška is pretty diverse, featuring rocky paths, forest trails, and routes that hug the rocky coastline. You should be prepared for varying elevations and technical sections in between the aid stations. Whilst some of the trails are compact and runnable, the island includes long sections of technical paths, with steep ascents and descents, and at times will involve a lot of hiking. The trail conditions in this predominantly rocky landscape are very different to those found in the UK.
Do I need to run?
Nope! Uniquely, Love Trails Croatia places equal weighting on trail running & hiking experiences. So whether you run, or prefer to hike Timed Out™ - this event (and everything included across the entire week) has been programmed with you in mind.
Is there a mandatory kit to take out on the trails?
